Covid sick pay reforms to remain until vaccine target reached
- The government will keep paying people to stay away from work when they feel sick, as part of measures worth SEK 7 billion.
- Currently people can get paid for staying away from work from the very first sick day, although usually there is a period of one day without any pay.
- The government now reasons that as long as the vaccination target is not reached, the more generous sick pay rules will stay.
