Foreign Minister Linde makes official visit to Israel
Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde is in Israel on Monday for meetings with Israeli and Palestinian government leaders.
It's the first official visit to Israel by a Swedish official after seven years of frosty relations when Sweden formally recognized the state of Palestine in 2014, and the first time a Swedish foreign minister visits in over a decade. PM Stefan Löfven visited in 2020 but didn't meet with Israeli government officials.
On Monday, Linde started by visiting the World Holocaust Rememberance Centre in Jerusalem.
