Future in doubt for Swedish Church building in Paris

  • The Lutheran Church of Sweden's oldest parish abroad is in danger of leaving its current church, Swedish Radio's Culture department reports.
  • The Church of Sweden is currently investigating whether to sell the Sofia Church in Paris because of its high running and maintenance costs. 
  • "This church is made by and made for Swedes," says parishioner Anne Edelstam, who wants to continue to worship in the church, originally built in 1913.
