Government e-mail addresses can still be faked, opposition critical

  • Members of the parliamentary defence committee have criticised the government's IT-security after Swedish Radio News shows it is still possible to send fake emails that look like they come from the defence minister's real e-mail-address.

  • Back in December Swedish Radio News revealed that the government offices lack basic protection against fake emails like this being sent.

  • "This is completely unacceptable... The Ministry of Defence needs to put its own house in order," says Mikael Oscarsson of the Christian Democrats.
