An American engineer sounds off about why the Black Friday related sales in his current home of Sweden all feel a bit strange to him.

Black Friday is the day after the US holiday of Thanksgiving. It is considered the first day of the Christmas shopping season when retailers offer discounts. The phenomenon has now been adopted by many Swedish companies.

We visit a big electronics chain that's taking part in the festivities and counting on doing its highest turnover of the year that day.

At the chain's Kungsgatan location, we find out more from the store manager, who also happens to be the descendant of a very famous author.
