How Swedish TV's news programme for kids is informing children about the war in Ukraine
Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, public service news programmes aimed at children, such as Swedish Radio's Juniornyheterna and SVT's Lilla Aktuellt, have been providing a source of information, as well as support, for kids in Sweden worried about the war.
With help from experts and psychologists, Lilla Aktuellt, for example, opened a live chat where they fielded over 60,000 questions from children, ranging from 'Will the war come to Sweden', and 'What is Nato'?
Radio Sweden has been speaking to the team at Lilla Aktuellt who also explain how they have also been helping children identify propaganda on social media.
