Inflation rate in April hits three-decade high at 6.4 percent
Inflation in Sweden hit a 30-year high last month, according to new figures from Statistics Sweden, landing at 6.4 percent in April.
It is a higher than expected figure, and price increases across a wider range of sectors are driving the climb.
"This is a very clear message to households to prepare for higher costs of living," says Arturo Arques, a private economist with Swedbank.
