Järva film festival offers not just movies but also vaccines
In addition to family-friendly movies, the Järva film festival in northwestern Stockholm, which opened on Sunday, is also offering drop-in Covid-19 vaccinations and free antibody tests, in cooperation with Stockholm Region and Legehuset.
Movies are screened outdoors from 4pm until 8 pm through Saturday.
Ahmed Abdirahman, president of The Global Village, the NGO that has organized the event, says he hopes convenience and familiarity will encourage unvaccinated visitors to get their shot. "When you see your neighbor, your friend, someone who looks like you, take the vaccine it may change your mind."
