Löfven presents government policy in wide-ranging speech
Prime Minister Stefan Löfven delivered his last Statement of Government Policy during the official opening of parliament today, before he steps down in November.
In the speech, Löfven addressed a range of issues, including migration, the labor market, EU cooperation, and other topics, but combatting racism took center stage.
"There is no place for racism in Sweden. We will intensify our efforts to combat antisemitism, Islamophobia, Afrophobia, antigypsyism and racism against the Sami. Our efforts will be based on the national plan against racism," said Löfven.
