Mandatory 'Sweden course' to be tied to benefits payments
The Government and the Sweden Democrats want to expand the civics course offered to new arrivals in Sweden.
They also want the so-called ”Sverigekurs”, or Sweden course, to be a prerequisite for receiving certain benefits payments from the state.
It's problematic to have people attacking the country's constitution or its values, Minister for Integration Johan Pehrson of the Liberals tells the newspaper Dagens Nyheter.
