Moderate MEP: Sweden should take smaller share of refugees in EU
- Conservative Moderate Tomas Tobé, who is leading negotations in the European Parliament about the EU's asylum package, believes that Sweden has shouldered a lot of responsibility as far as migration policy, and that it should be able to accept fewer refugees when they are placed within the bloc in a future EU asylum policy.
- He tells Swedish Radio News that EU immigration policy has meant that a few countries have borne an altogether too big responsibility.
- Tobé, who is the European Parliament's rapporteur on the issue, is today presenting his report that is to form the basis of the EU parliament's position.
