ELECTION
More voters born abroad than ever before
Over a million people - or 1.2 million - of those eligible to vote in the general election in September were born outside Sweden.
That is more than ever before, and about 200,000 more than in the last election.
Statistically, voter turnout is lower in this group, and they also tend to vote differently than the electorate as a whole.
