Most regional candidates say new tech can help lower healthcare costs

  • Most candidates running for office in Sweden's 21 regions say more digitalization and new technology will be needed to tackle higher health care costs in the future.

  • That's according to a survey by Swedish Radio News of the top political candidates running in each region.

  • Respondents could choose two out of five alternatives or write in their own. Most, 87 percent selected "more efficient care with the help of a higher degree of digitalization and new technology".
