DOGS
Only a fraction of dogs who bite undergo behaviour checks
There are too few behavioural assessments of dogs that have bitten people or animals in Sweden, and police recommendations for the dogs to be put down are not always acted upon.
That's the view of experts taking part on Swedish Radio P1 series of programmes called ”The fighting dogs”.
Dogs taken into care due to neglect who go on and bite a person or animal are not required to undergo behavioural evaluation by the police.
