Pharmacy passed information about online customers to Facebook

The state-owned pharmacy chain Apoteket has sent detailed information about its online customers and their purchases to Facebook, Swedish Radio News can reveal.

Examples include records of customers' online purchases of non prescription products and customers contact details. Up to one million customers may have been affected.

Apoteket say it has stopped passing on information to Facebook and has reported itself to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection.
