Police union calls for independent review of how riots were handled

The police union in Östergötland, where several of the riots took place over the Easter weekend, is now calling for independent investigation into the police effort there.

"A thorough investigation that looks at whether the resources were right, the planning was right and the equipment was right," says Sara Walters, chairperson for the police union in region East.

After the riots, where angry mobs targeted police with heavy stones and vandalised police cars, several police officers have told about their experiences in social media.
