The Swedish Prison and Probation Service will be getting roughly SEK 1.5 billion extra per year in the coming autumn budget.
This is on top of its roughly SEK 14 billion budget allocation, Swedish Radio News reports.
The service is looking to significantly increase the number of permanent prison and remand places as part of an expansion plan.
