Program launched to improve conditions for Thai massage businesses in Malmö

  • Malmö is the first city in Sweden to launch a certification program to try to improve working conditions for people in the Thai massage industry.

  • "Most vulnerable women are in the Thai massage industry, where they are facing both labour exploitation and sexual exploitation", says Panadda Changmanee, project manager of ThaiWISE, which launched the program.

  • The progress of the programme will be evaluated at the end of 2022, and might be scaled up if it's successful.
