Stable levels of coronavirus seen in Swedish wastewater

At the Swedish Environmental Epidemiology Center, researchers from four Swedish universities have been monitoring Covid wastewater levels in Sweden since April 2020.
"The wastewaters show what is going on in the population and can be applicable for the general public health situation in the country", says Zeynep Cetecioglu Gurol, associate professor at the Royal Institute of Technology and a researcher at the center.
The Public Health Agency receives the findings every week though says it needs to review the results more thoroughly before using them as a tool for future pandemics.
