Stockholm Environment Institute: 'We are in a planetary crisis'

  • Since June 1972, when Stockholm hosted UN's first environmental conference, only one tenth of the hundreds of goals agreed upon have been achieved.

  • That's according to the Stockholm Environment Institute which has co-authored a report which puts forward a series of recommendations to decision-makers ahead of Stockholm+50, a UN climate meeting marking the 50th anniversary of the 1972 event.
