  • The government will remove its advisory against non-essential travel to any destination worldwide during the pandemic starting next month.
  • In a press release, Foreign Minister Ann Linde said the ambition "had always been to lift the advice as soon as possible and that point has now been reached."
  • Sweden introduced the advisory in March 2020 as the coronavirus pandemic took hold. It was the first time such wide ranging advice had been issued.
