Swedish government supports Ukraine EU membership negotiations, says PM
Swedish party leaders gathered in the parliament today to debate European Union issues.
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said Sweden will support opening negotiations with Ukraine in the new year to become a member of the EU. He also highlighted the importance of a united EU, and Sweden's role in it.
But Social Democrat leader Magdalena Andersson questioned Kristersson's partnership with the Sweden Democrats, claiming that they wanted a 'Swexit'.
