Swedish Radio criticised for internal investigation

3:28 min
  • The head of Swedish Radio News (Ekot), of which Radio Sweden is a part, presented conclusions yesterday about the much-discussed case of a former reporter who had a personal relationship with a man who had been deemed by Säpo as a threat to national security and whom she had reported about.

  • The head of Ekot, Klas Wolf-Watz, stands by the decision not to tell listeners about the situation when he learned about it in the fall.

  • Robert Aschberg, the chair of the Swedish Publicists' Association, believes that someone other than Ekot should have conducted the investigation.
