Swedish Red Cross: Demand for support is increasing

Publicerad 25 jan 2024 · kl 06:04 · 2:04 min
  • An increasing number of people in Sweden are seeking help from civil society organisations to feed and clothe themselves, according to a report released by the Swedish Red Cross.

  • The charity says that while more people need help with the most basic items, such as food and clothing, there are new groups who are asking for advice and support to navigate everyday life.

  • ”You watch every penny, there are limits to everything,” says Gunilla, who speaks to Swedish Radio News outside a social supermarket offering discounted food and other items.
