Swedish study is looking for a cure for long Covid

  • A hospital in greater Stockholm is undertaking one of the world's largest studies of a medication that could be effective against long Covid.

  • 400 patients with severe long-term symptoms following a coronavirus infection are receiving either the medicine or a placebo for 15 days, and will afterwards be tested extensively at Karolinska University Hospital.

  • Researchers are hoping to find a medicine that can cure the disease, and doesn't just ease its symptoms.
