Third covid-vaccine booster dose for over 65's brought forward

  • The Public Health Agency recommends that people who are 65+ get their third - booster - dose of the vaccine against covid 19 five months after the second dose, instead of six.

  • "More people will (...) get good protection against the disease ahead of the Christmas holidays," said state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell.

  • For staff in healthcare, the recommended interval between the second and third dose remains at six months.
