Three new districts added to police's list of "vulnerable areas"

  • Three new areas in Stockholm were added to a list maintained by Swedish police that specify places with high crime rates and social exclusion. The list currently numbers around 60 areas across the country.
  • Two areas previously on the list, in Gothenburg and in Norrköping, were removed.
  • Linda H Staaf, the head of the police's intelligence service, said that despite the additions, in general things are improving in the country's so-called "vulnerable areas".
