  • Almost 700 Ukrainian refugees have lost their right to receive a daily allowance from the Migration Agency because they live in areas that makes them ineligible for the help, Swedish Radio News reports.

  • Those living in areas listed by the agency as socially and economically vulnerable are legally barred from receiving the allowance.

  • "We need money for clothes because we only brought winter clothes when we came," says Khrystyna, a Ukrainian who has been denied the benefit under the regulations, which were revised in 2020.
