Vast majority in Sweden ok with higher living costs to defend 'European values'

  • 85% of Swedes say it's important to defend values such as democracy and freedom of speech, even if this might increase the cost of living

  • This according to a survey commissioned by the European Parliament, which interviewed 26,000 people from across the EU.

  • Views on Russia have also changed. In Sweden only 2% share a positive image of Russia.
