Work permit rules slammed by opposition parties — except the Social Democrats

  • All Sweden's opposition parties ⁠— except the Social Democrats ⁠— are against the government's increase to the minimum salary needed for a work permit.

  • The Center Party and the Green Party say the measure is bad for businesses, and unfair on foreign workers already in Sweden.

  • The Social Democrats however are in favour of the increase, and say they would have liked to see an even higher minimum salary requirement.
