The Gothenburg indie rock group Broder Daniel is the focus of an English language documentary from two American filmmakers.

The film is called "I'll Be Gone: The True Story of Broder Daniel" and is due out early next year, with screenings planned in Stockholm and Gothenburg.

It aims to tell the story of Broder Daniel, which formed in Gothenburg and made it big in mid-1990s before breaking up in 2008 after guitarist Anders Göthberg committed suicide in Stockholm.

Radio Sweden spoke with the film's producer Sasha Hecht and its director Amelia Trask about the project and why they described Broder Daniel as one of "Sweden's most divisive".
