Iraq goes to the polls next week, in what has been called by some observers as "an extremely important election". But important for whom? And why? In this week's Konflikt in English hear about the election through the eyes and opinions of four people who have lived through the occupation in the country. The feminist politician Maha Hamid, Rawa from Basra just trying to make ends meet, the schemer Ahmed Chalabi, and the former US Lieutenant Colonel Douglas Ollivant. Will we see a repeat of the 2005 election, after which the country fell into sectarian conflict? Or will things carry on as usual, or even normalise? Hear voices from Basra, Diwaniya, Linköping, Washington and Stockholm.
Presenter: Kris Boswell
