Christer Fuglesang’s First Space Walk Completed

On Tuesday night Sweden’s first astronaut, Christer Fuglesang, took part in a six hour space walk outside the International Space Station. He and his crewmate Robert Curbeam added a new piece to the metal backbone of the station, clearing the way for a critical power rewiring later this week.

Back on Earth, Swedes are enjoying every minute of Fuglesang’s space odyssey. But for a long time it looked as if Sweden’s space man would never get his chance. Gaby Katz brings us this report:
