As a parent you may worry what your child is being subjected to when she or he is surfing out in the wild world of the Internet. There is reason for concern says a Swedish consumers’ interest group.
The Swedish Consumers’ Association says the sort of ads one sees on the Internet and targeted at children can easily contribute to obesity among children.
In an effort to come to grips with the problem, the Association carried out a study among children.
The Association got in touch with parents and with their approval monitored the surfing habits of the children to find out what sort of commercials are targeted at them.
