Sweden in Space

Sweden’s first astronaut Christer Fuglesang was back in his homeland last week and he brought with him his crewmates from the Shuttle Discovery, to tell Swedes about their adventures onboard the International Space Station last December.




But while their mission has no doubt inspired more young people here to study engineering and science, up in the far north of Sweden an international community has long had their heads well above the clouds. Tom McAlinden has more about Sweden in space:
