Controversial Soccer Drama

Sweden’s crucial Euro 2008 qualifier against Denmark in Copenhagen on Saturday ended in highly dramatic fashion in the very last minute as the referee was attacked by a Danish fan for sending off one of the Danish players and awarding a penalty to Sweden with the sides level at 3-3.

The referee then took both sets of players off the pitch and abandoned the match and awarded a win to Sweden, 3-0. Our Nordic reporter Bill Schiller takes up the story:
