The two men detained Wednesday on suspicion of planning to sabotage a nuclear power station in the south of Sweden have been released.

The prosecutor says the two contract workers are still under suspicion, but there is no longer any reason to keep them in custody.

The incident has brought into question security at the plant, which is owned by the Germany multinational Energy company EON.
