Immigrants and the "Apartheid of Good Intentions"

This week Swedish Radio has been focusing on the problems facing the disabled. Under the theme “The Apartheid of Good Intentions”, national and local channels have covered many aspects of the issue.

One of the hardest problems can be the double obstacle of being disabled and an immigrant. Yet many asylum-seekers, for example, are fleeing from wars and conflicts where there are many risks to their physical and mental health.

George Wood asked Ubah Robleh, who has been very active here in programs for disabled immigrants, what Sweden is like for a disabled person…and how much harder is it if you’re from another country?
