Astrid Lindgren Prize to Sonya Harnett

Wednesday sees the awarding of the Astrid Lindgren Memorial prize to Australian author Sonya Hartnett.

The world’s biggest award for writers of children and young person’s literature was created it in memory of Sweden’s world famous author of the Pippi Longstocking books, Astrid Lindgren.

Dave Russell met Sonya Hartnett, who finished her first book at 13, had it published at 15 and has gone on to write 18 novels.
