Kidnapped Scandinavians in Somalia Freed

A Swede and a Dane who were kidnapped in Somalia have now been freed.

The Swedish Rescue Services and the Swedish Embassy in Nairobi have confirmed for Swedish Radio News that the two are safe and are on their way to the Kenyan capital.

The two, who were working with a United Nations landmine removal project for the Swedish Rescue Services, were taken captive in connection with an attack Saturday morning on the city of Hudur, around 400 kilometers northwest of the capital Mogadishu.
