Fears for Imprisoned Journalist’s Health

There’s renewed concern here about the Swedish-Eritrean journalist Dawit Isaak, who has been imprisoned in Eritrea since 2001.

Now come reports that he’s been taken to a military hospital, and fears he may be being treated for injuries caused by torture.

The Foreign Ministry is sending an ambassador to talk to the Eritrean authorities.
