Sweden to Cut UN Development Aid?

Sweden’s Development Assistance Minister Gunilla Carlsson has warned of sharper restrictions on Swedish international development assistance. This includes possible withdrawal from international aid programs.

She says that unless there are improvements, her government is thinking of withdrawing some of the 2 billion US dollars donated each year in multi-lateral aid to the UN, the World Bank and others.
