Bonuses at Crisis Banks

The newspaper “Dagens Nyheter” reports that despite the current financial crisis, the four big Swedish banks have paid around 600 million dollars in bonuses to their employees for last year.

This comes as the banks face credit losses and several have asked for government help. “Dagens Nyheter” says these bonuses are not to CEOs but rather to key personnel at lower levels, such as stockbrokers, analysts and fund managers.
