Notorious Criminal Remanded In Custody

One of Sweden’s most notorious criminals, Lars Ferm (earlier known as Lars-Inge Svartenbrandt) was remanded in custody Sunday on suspicion of bank robbery.

Another man has been detained in connection with Wednesday’s robbery at a Swedbank branch in Säter.

The 63 year old Ferm, who has spent more than 40 years behind bars for many robberies and acts of violence, denies the charges.

Two women also arrested last week were released on Saturday pending further inquiries.
