Fruit, Vegetables Harmful for Smokers?

Sparks are flying over a new European study involving Swedes and claiming that munching on fruit and vegetables may have negative affects instead of positive for getting cancer – if you’re a smoker.


Some Swedish researchers say the study of half a million Europeans in 10 countries Swedes seems to reverse the generally proved conclusions that green diets help avoid cancer – but apparently not if you smoke although no one knows why.

The recommendation from Swedish doctors to smokers is not to cut back on apples and carrots – but to snuff out that cigarette.
