Two Die in Small Plane Crash

Two people were killed when their single-engine plane crashed shortly after takeoff from the Midlanda airport of Sundsvall in northern Sweden on Monday. The pilot of the Swiss-built BX 2 airplane had reported engine trouble immediately after the start and radioed that he would attempt to return to the field. Eyewitnesses said the plane had suddenly plummeted to the ground from about 300 feet altitude. An investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash will be launched shortly.
