File-Sharing Back to Former Levels

After a sharp drop in April file-sharing in Sweden is on an upward trend again. The statistics were gathered by the Netnod foundation that measures Swedish internet traffic. A spokesman said the temporary recline had obviously been caused by the EU’s IPRED-directive that allows prosecuting illegal file-sharing. The spokesman said that after the passing of the directive in April nobody in Sweden had been charged with infringements yet, so file-sharers obviously felt encouraged to return to their activities.
