How to vaccinate 9 million people is not an easy task, and Swedish Radio has spoken to representatives of regional councils that worry this will take resources from other necessary areas.
The costs for vaccinating everybody are still lower than the cost society will have to pay if a lot of people fall ill, according to Anders Tegnell, head of the Epidemiology Unit at the National Board of Health and Welfare. It is however still too early to talk about how many will be affected, says Anders Tegnell to Radio Sweden.
And from Gothenburg comes reports on Tuesday evening that one participant in the youth football tournament Gothia Cup has tested positive for Swine Flu. According to news agency TT the participant fell ill over the weekend and had already been infected before arriving in Gothenburg. the participant is now kept in isolation.
