15-Year-Old Smashes World Record

15-year-old Swede Sarah Sjöström set the new world record in 100 meter butterfly at Sunday’s Swimming World Championships in Rome. With her time of 56:44 in the semifinal, she beat Inge de Bruijn’s record from the 2000 Sydney Olympics by 17 hundredths of a second.

She will swim in the final on Monday night.
