"Wink, Don't Shake Hands"

Soccer players participating in the Mid-Nordic Cup in the Swedish town of Timrå have been barred from shaking hands with the other team after the end of the game. The gesture of sportmanship is another victim of the swine influensa scare.

The soccer tournament includes teams from countries in both Eastern Europe and Africa, according to news service TT.

Instead of shaking hands, the players have been told to stay on their half of the playing field and wave to their opponents.
